Rescue 1-1 is a Basic Life Support vehicle equipped with back boards, C-collars, bandages, splints and also carries Automatic External Defibrillator, a stokes basket and a pair of SCBA's for emergency service in the event of the unexpected. |

Ladder 1-6 - 1980 Duplex/LTI
Ladder 1-6 id equipped with a 100' ladder, a 300 gallon tank, and a 1,250 gallon per minute pump. The existance of several high rise dorms and other structures in Big Rapids makes this truck a necessity. |

Engine 1-2
Engine 1-2 is one of the department's two pumpers. It is equipped with a 1250 gpm Waterous pump and a 1000 gal. tank. The department pumpers are used to respond to motor vehicle crashes and all types of fires. |

Engine 1-4 - 1998 HME/Ferrera
Engine 1-4 is one of the Division's two pumpers. It is outfitted with a 1250 gpm Waterous pump, 1000 gal. tank with a foam injector system. Division pumpers respond to motor vehicle crashes and all types of fires. It is the newest truck in the Division and is equipped with with full BLS medical supplies, an AED, and the Hurst Jaws of Life. |

Grass Rig 1-3 - 1992 Ford F-250
Grass Rig 1-3 is the "attack" truck for grass and wild land fires. This 4x4 workhorse is supported by a water tender. It has a Waterous 250 gpm pump and 100 gal. of water. 1-3 also sees duty as a utility truck for structure fires, hauling dirty hose back for cleaning and empty SCBA bottles back for refilling. |

Grass Rig 1-9 - 1968 Kiaser Jeep CJ-5 4x4
Grass Rig 1-9 is on loan from the Federal Forestry Service, redone and maintained by the Division. This unit is primarily used for grass fires allowing access to locations other apparatus can't reach. |

Water Tender 1-7 - 1993 Ford L-8000
Water Tender 1-7 holds 2,200 gal. of water and along with the other tender is used to supply water to the areas the department serves that are without hydrants. |

Water Tender 1-8, with it's 705 gpm front mount pump and 1600 gallon capacity and is used supply water to the areas the department serves without hydrants. It is also equipped with a 5 KW generator, ground ladders and 1200' of hose. |

Rescue Boat
Easily towed to either open water or ice rescue situations by several of the Division's vehicles, this inflatable Zodiac style craft is fully powered by an 8 h.p. engine. Equipped for both cold and warm water rescues, the trailer contains plenty of throw-bags, dry suits, a line gun, along with various equipment to support rescue or recovery operations. |
