Police Motorcycle Units

The Department implemented a Motorcycle Unit in 2000 in cooperation with the Harley Davidson Motorcycle Lease Program. This program allows for the department to lease two new Harley Davidson motorcycles on an annual basis well below market value. The motorcycles are very effective on traffic enforcement and special details, such as parades.

The motorcycles are used in conjunction with a laser speed measuring unit which have proven themselves to be highly effective in both enforcement and public relations.
